According to Gematsu, the Direct kicked off at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET and delivered new details about the upcoming title. The Treehouse segment then offered hands-on looks at the game in action, giving viewers a deeper sense of how the spinoff plays.
"the story setup involving raiding the Spirhalite Islands with Deep Cut"
Bleeding Cool elaborated on the single-player treasure hunt premise, in which players battle Salmonids, mine crystals, explore dungeons, and hunt rare loot. The report describes a gameplay loop that blends combat with exploration and resource gathering.
"The game features three tank types (Speed, Power, Tactical) with customizable gadgets and weapons for loadout building."
Bleeding Cool also noted that players can build loadouts around three distinct tank types, each suited to a different playstyle. Customizable gadgets and weapons add further depth to the spinoff, which departs from the mainline Splatoon formula while retaining the series' signature visual flair.
