The final chapter of the beloved queer teen romance Heartstopper arrives July 17 on Netflix as a feature-length movie titled Heartstopper Forever. The film ends the story of Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) based on Alice Oseman's graphic novels, and it will be the last time fans see the characters on screen, TechRadar reported.

"the final time we ever see Nick, Charlie, and the gang on Netflix"

Comicbasics.com noted that six years after Nick and Charlie first met, their story is finally getting a proper send-off. The movie picks up where the series left off, forcing the couple to confront the simplest and hardest question in the story: whether love can survive, according to El-Balad.

Joe Locke spoke about the intimacy scenes in the film, telling PinkNews that they "feels beautiful" as he and Kit Connor prepare to say goodbye to the franchise. The film is directed by Wash Westmoreland and written by Alice Oseman, serving as the send-off following the series' cancellation, Decider reported.

"feels beautiful"

Netflix has already released the opening three minutes of Heartstopper Forever, available on the TUDUM platform, which features Charlie delivering an impassioned moment, Bleeding Cool reported. News.newonnetflix.info also teased that fans will have more treats in July beyond the film, adding to the excitement surrounding the conclusion of the LGBTQ+ romance.
