WildArts has announced that its single-player survival horror roguelite Fright Train will launch for PC via Steam on September 15, 2026, accompanied by a new gameplay trailer. The game casts players as paranormal special agent Doug Barker, who must fight through a monster-infested train while enduring Antarctica's deadly cold.
"Fight through a train overtaken by monsters and survive Antarctica's cold as paranormal special agent Doug Barker in Fright Train."
According to IGN, the trailer showcases third-person combat and the harsh environment players will navigate. The train setting adds a claustrophobic element to the survival horror formula, with roguelite mechanics likely ensuring no two runs are the same.
"Players take on the role of paranormal special agent Doug Barker from P.A.W. (Paranormal Agency Worldwide), who must fight through the train and survive the harsh Antarctic cold after responding to an anonymous distress signal from the L.R.S. Great White."
Gematsu reported that the distress signal comes from the L.R.S. Great White, the train now overtaken by creatures. The combination of monster combat and extreme weather conditions creates a dual-threat dynamic, forcing players to manage both resources and temperature. Fright Train is currently listed only for PC, with no mention of console releases at this time.
