Studiocanal has announced details on nearly 100 deals closed after the Cannes Film Festival, including the first international sales for the highly anticipated Florence Pugh-starring drama ‘The Midnight Library’, an adaptation of Matt Haig’s New York Times bestseller. The film sparked a US bidding war won by Paramount, and has now sold to Scandinavia, South Africa, and Switzerland, according to Deadline. Studiocanal will also release the film across its European and Australasian territories.
Variety reported that the company is also negotiating presales on a new Paddington animated film. The flurry of deals underscores Studiocanal’s strong market presence following the festival.
