Rheinmetall has delivered its first batch of 155mm artillery ammunition to Ukraine from the company's new Werk Niedersachsen facility in Unterlüß, Lower Saxony, according to multiple reports.
The shipment consists of a low five-figure number of projectiles along with propellant charges, Ukrinform reported.

Previous deliveries had come from other sites within Rheinmetall's production network, meaning the Unterlüß plant is now directly contributing. Defence-industry.eu noted the delivery is "expanding the role of its German production network in supplying the Ukrainian armed forces." The new facility is ramping up output, as TheDefenseWatch also highlighted, to meet demand for 155mm rounds.

This milestone underscores the ongoing need for artillery ammunition as Ukraine continues to defend against Russian aggression.
