AAFCA TV Honors Crown 'Paradise' and 'Shrinking' as Top Series, Introduces New Categories

The African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) announced the winners of its eighth annual TV Honors, recognizing outstanding television programming across multiple categories. Hulu's 'Paradise' took Best Drama Series for the second consecutive year, while Apple TV+'s 'Shrinking' won Best Comedy Series, according to Deadline.
Sterling K. Brown won Best Actor for 'Paradise', Jurnee Smollett won Best Actress for 'Smoke', and 'Abbott Elementary' won Best Ensemble.
Hollywood Reporter noted that 'Abbott Elementary' also received Best Writing, and FX's 'Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette' won Best Limited Series and Best Directing. The ceremony marked a milestone with the introduction of two new competitive categories.
Two new competitive categories were introduced this year: Best Reality Series (won by 'Love & Marriage: Huntsville') and Best Podcast (won by 'All the Smoke with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson').
