Olivia Rodrigo is launching her own music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, a single-day event scheduled for August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California. The festival features an all-female lineup, a concept Rodrigo said she had long dreamed of creating, according to Pitchfork. The announcement coincides with the release of Rodrigo's third album, Stereogum reported.

Olivia Rodrigo Launches Daisy Chain Fields, a Festival With a Cross-Generational All-Female Lineup

"I've been dreaming of curating a festival like this for a really long time."

Variety

Rodrigo expressed excitement about sharing the news, with Variety reporting that she noted her long-held aspiration to curate the event. The lineup spans generations and genres, including Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Garbage, and special guests Karen O, Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan, according to Variety. Stereogum also listed Santigold among the performers.

Pitchfork reported that the festival is inspired by Lilith Fair, the landmark all-female touring festival founded by Sarah McLachlan in the 1990s. The cross-generational nature of the bill, which places punk pioneers like Bikini Kill alongside pop stars like Rodrigo and Chappell Roan, underscores a deliberate bridging of eras, as noted by Stereogum.

Tickets for Daisy Chain Fields go on presale June 24, Pitchfork reported. The festival marks Rodrigo's first foray into festival curation, adding a new dimension to her career following her chart-topping albums.
