Nvidia Partners with OpenAI to Provide Computing Infrastructure and $100 Billion Investment

Nvidia and OpenAI have announced a strategic partnership to deploy at least 10 gigawatts of AI datacenters powered by Nvidia systems. The Verge reported that Nvidia intends to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI as each gigawatt of capacity is deployed, supporting OpenAI's pursuit of superintelligence. Hacker News added that the first phase of the infrastructure, using Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform, is targeted to come online in the second half of 2026.
