Capcom is preparing a major shake-up for Monster Hunter Wilds' digital storefront, announcing a permanent base-game price reduction and a complete overhaul of its available editions starting early August. The changes aim to simplify purchasing options while making the action RPG more accessible.
According to Inven Global, the base game price will drop by approximately 45%, effective August 4. Push Square noted that the current price on PlayStation Store is $69.99/£64.99, though the exact new price has not been specified.

The shake-up involves retiring three existing products. GamingBolt reported that the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and Cosmetic DLC Pass will be discontinued on August 3. In their place, Siliconera stated, "Capcom will stop selling 3 Monster Hunter Wilds bundles and will start selling 3 new ones" alongside the price drop.
GamesRadar+ provided context for the timing, noting that Monster Hunter Wilds "continues to sit with a 'Mixed' rating on Steam" and that the move is part of Capcom's effort "to further recover from a year of middling reviews." The permanent price reduction is also reflected across other platforms, with RPG Site confirming an effective date of August 6 for some regions.
While the exact launch date varies slightly by reporting source, the core changes are consistent: a permanent price cut and streamlined digital bundles. The new bundles are expected to be revealed as the August changeover approaches.
