Summary
The EU has banned Bisphenol A (BPA) and other bisphenols from food packaging, with the regulation taking effect from July 2026. BPA, an industrial chemical used in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins for food can linings, is known to interfere with the human hormonal system.
