Three new 6v6 maps head the multiplayer lineup: Jubilee, set in a rural Japanese town during a chaotic festival; Dig, and Frequency. Nettosgameroom.com offered a vivid glimpse of the Jubilee battlefield: "Operators exchange gunfire outside a pachinko arcade as one player advances with a pistol down the street. Fight through a rural Japanese town as a festival turns to chaos and the streets erupt in conflict." :: nettosgameroom.com Bleeding Cool confirmed that alongside these maps, new Limited Time Modes and weapons will roll out across the season.
Zombies mode receives significant additions, including the Eidskallen Lighthouse Survival Map and a Kowakujō Directed Mode, as reported by Bleeding Cool. Gameloop.gg noted that Rogue Run updates and a mid-season finale are also planned. Meanwhile, Warzone players can expect the new Drone Labs point of interest in Verdansk, a Juggernaut Public Event, and new Limited Time Modes like Resurge. PlayStation framed the update with an energetic tagline: "Get ready to unleash the arsenal. The machines rage on in Season 05." :: PlayStation This season also introduces new Ranked Play content and a new Assignment called Burn Run, according to The Outerhaven and PlayStation respectively.
With Modern Warfare 4 on the horizon, MP1st observed that Black Ops 7 “still has a lot of life left in it,” and Season 5 appears designed to keep the player base engaged well into the summer. The full patch notes are available on the official Call of Duty Blog, as noted by nettosgameroom.com. Players can jump into all the new content starting July 23.
