Astronomers discover Jupiter-sized exoplanets with density lower than cotton candy

Summary

Astronomers have discovered two giant exoplanets, each the size of Jupiter but with densities lower than cotton candy. These "super-puffs" orbit a star 1,110 light-years away and are the largest known planets with such low density — comparable to shaving foam. The findings, led by the University of Oxford's George Dransfield, were published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. Scientists believe the planets are likely white or blue in appearance.
