The surge in complaints indicated problems ranging from app failures to issues loading timelines and accessing the website.Downdetector data showed that reports crossed 31,000 around 7:30 pm, far above the platform’s usual baseline levels. As the disruption continued, users turned to other social media platforms and online forums to flag problems and share screenshots of error messages.A majority of the complaints were linked to the mobile application. Downdetector’s breakdown showed that about 45 percent of users reported issues with the app, while 30 percent flagged problems related to feeds and timelines. Another 15 percent of complaints were associated with difficulties accessing the web version of the platform.Users reported that posts were not loading, timelines were failing to refresh, and interactions such as viewing or engaging with new content were unavailable during the outage. As of the time of reporting, X had not issued an official statement acknowledging the disruption or providing details on the cause.
