From high-level visits to field interventions, collective efforts have translated into concrete results that directly benefit communities. The visit of the WHO Regional Director for Africa provided an important opportunity to deepen strategic dialogue with Burundian authorities on universal health coverage and emergency preparedness. Likewise, the visit of a Gavi delegation further strengthened collaboration toward achieving immunization goals. On the ground, WHO’s support contributed to addressing urgent humanitarian challenges, particularly in Busuma, where more than 65,000 Congolese refugees accessed essential healthcare services through a health post delivering an average of 350 consultations per day.
