Secret Service agents assigned to Vice President JD Vance and his family are reportedly "fed up" with his frequent last-minute personal travel requests, according to a new report from MS NOW cited by Mediaite. The frustration boiled over after a request to use a military helicopter to fly his son to a golf lesson.

"That is RIDICULOUS," a person familiar with the golf trip told MS NOW in a message, as reported by Raw Story. The trip was ultimately canceled, but agents had already been "groused" about having to carry out the request, according to the report. MS NOW noted that operating a military helicopter costs taxpayers between $16,000 and $24,600 per hour, based on 2022 Department of Defense budget estimates.

Raw Story reported that the Vance family's off-the-record travel habits have drawn a stark comparison from those familiar with past vice presidents. "Pence and Harris never pulled anything like that," the same person told MS NOW, according to Raw Story. The contrast highlights growing discontent among the protective detail, who feel the requests are unreasonable and often sprung on them at the last minute.

Mediaite reported that the Secret Service agents are feeling "fed up" with the pattern of hasty travel demands. The report from MS NOW, as summarized by Mediaite, suggests that the agents' patience is wearing thin as they are asked to accommodate personal trips that fall outside standard official travel procedures.
