POTTSVILLE — A Reading Anthracite Company petition to sell 177 acres of land to the BRADS Landfill in Blythe Township has been denied for the time being, following a scheduled hearing on Wednesday. But locals’ fight to halt the expansion of the landfill on Burma Road is not over — Reading Anthracite now has 60 days to amend its quiet title lawsuit to verify that all plaintiffs, or owners of portions of the 177 acres, agree to the sale.
