A Palm Springs clinic dedicated to free sexual health services is celebrating five years of serving the Coachella Valley community.PS Test provides free testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, as well as access to HIV PrEP and DoxyPEP services designed to help prevent HIV and certain bacterial sexually transmitted infections.Clinic leaders say approximately 1,500 patients received care through the organization last year alone, highlighting the growing need for accessible sexual health services throughout the region.Despite facing financial challenges over the years, the clinic's founder says strong community support has allowed the nonprofit to remain open and continue its mission.According to the organization, 2024 proved to be its most difficult financial year, requiring the clinic to borrow funds to continue operations. However, leaders say those debts were fully repaid in 2025, and the organization is now on stable financial footing. The clinic credits generous donations and support from the community for helping it overcome those challenges and continue providing no-cost services to those in need.As PS Test celebrates its fifth anniversary, founder Dr. Ritchie is encouraging anyone who is sexually active to get tested every three months as part of a routine healthcare plan. Early testing and treatment can help reduce the spread of infections and improve overall health outcomes.Appointments, available services and donation information are available through the clinic's website.
