PS Test Marks Five Years of Free Sexual Health Care in Riverside County

PS Test is celebrating five years of making sexual health care more accessible across Riverside County.The nonprofit is the county’s first free STI test-and-treat clinic, offering treatment for sexually transmitted infections, rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, as well as HIV prevention services like PrEP and DoxyPEP.Clinic leaders say the demand for those services continues to grow. Last year alone, PS Test provided care to about 1,500 patients.Despite facing financial challenges over the years, the organization says strong community support helped it stay afloat.Founder Dr. Ritchie says 2024 was one of the clinic’s toughest years financially, but by 2025 the nonprofit had eliminated its debt and entered 2026 on stable footing.Dr. Ritchie is encouraging anyone who is sexually active to get tested every three months, emphasizing the importance of regular screenings in protecting both individual and community health.More information about the clinic and its services is available on NBC Palm Springs’ website.
