storyboard18.comPaytm secures Luxembourg payment licence to expand regulated services in Europestoryboard18.comOne 97 Communications-owned Paytm has secured a Payment Institution licence for its European subsidiary, marking a significant step in the company's international expansion strategy.In a regulatory filing, the company said its wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Paytm Europe Payments SA, has received authorisation from Luxembourg's financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), to operate as a licensed payment institution.The licence became effective on July 2, 2026, and does not carry an expiry date. Paytm Europe Payments SA has also been included in the CSSF's official register of authorised payment institutions.The approval enables the subsidiary to provide a range of regulated payment services in accordance with the licence.
