Emmy-nominated independent studio Media Res has promoted Kristen Kuroski to executive vice president and head of business affairs and legal, Deadline reported. Kuroski joined the studio in 2025 and has quickly taken on oversight of business and legal matters for a slate of high-profile streaming series.
"Since joining the studio in 2025, Kuroski has overseen business and legal affairs for major productions including Apple TV's The Morning Show (season 5), Peacock's The Miniature Wife, HBO's The Chain, Netflix's Enigma Variations, Hulu's Durango, and Apple TV's The Dealer."
The range of projects highlights Kuroski's work across multiple platforms, from Apple Originals to Peacock and HBO, signaling Media Res's deepening relationships with major streaming services.
Kuroski will continue to report to chief operating officer Sandra Dewey, according to Deadline. Before joining Media Res, she had been elevated to senior vice president of television business and legal at her previous company, a promotion that paved the way for her expanded responsibilities at the indie studio.
Media Res, known for producing series such as The Morning Show, has built a reputation for attracting top talent in business affairs as it scales its production pipeline. The promotion of Kuroski reflects the studio's commitment to strengthening its legal and business operations amid a competitive streaming landscape.
