A local breast cancer survivor is turning her personal experience into a powerful message of awareness and prevention.Edith Cantu, a fitness instructor and business owner in the Coachella Valley, is encouraging women to make regular breast self-exams a priority after discovering her own cancer through a routine self-check."The way that I found out that I had cancer, I did a self-exam," Cantu said.
