India’s Got Latent Season 2 to stream on Netflix and YouTube on the same day

New Delhi: Comedian and content creator Samay Raina has confirmed that the second season of India’s Got Latent will stream on Netflix and YouTube at the same time, marking a dual-platform release for one of India’s most discussed creator-led shows. The announcement was made in a promotional video shared by Netflix India, featuring Raina and Balraj Ghai. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) The development addresses speculation that the show would move fully behind a streaming paywall after Netflix began teasing a collaboration with Raina earlier this week. In the video, Raina indicated that the new season would not be exclusive to Netflix. Episodes will also be available on his YouTube channel on the same day and for the same duration. The move keeps India’s Got Latent linked to the YouTube audience that made the format popular, while giving it a wider OTT presence through Netflix. India’s Got Latent became a viral property in 2024 with its mix of talent performances, roast-style comedy and panel-led banter. The format drew a large online following but also became one of the most controversial digital shows in recent years. The first season faced backlash in 2025 after comments made by guest Ranveer Allahbadia on one of the episodes triggered outrage. The row led to multiple FIRs, legal scrutiny and public apologies. Raina later took down episodes from YouTube. The show’s return has been closely watched because of that controversy, and because of wider debates around comedy, obscenity, creator content and platform accountability in India. Raina had earlier confirmed that work on the second season had begun. A behind-the-scenes post shared by him showed shooting underway, with Balraj Ghai also visible on set. The simultaneous YouTube and Netflix release gives the show a different distribution model from most OTT-led properties. It allows Netflix to tap into a creator-led format with an existing digital fan base, while Raina avoids cutting off the YouTube audience that built the show. The strategy is also likely to be closely watched by other creators and platforms, as it tests whether a YouTube-first property can scale on OTT without losing its original audience. No release date has been announced yet. Netflix India has said the show is “coming soon”. Details on guests, panel members, format changes or content moderation for the new season have not been officially announced.
