Only 5 Ingredients! Simple yet delicious. Kids said this is the BEST potato dish ever 😂 It is a local specialty of Tochigi prefecture in Japan. Perfect recipe to use up small potatoes. Making without the skewers is okay. Imo Furai (Japanese Deep Fried Potatoes Vegan Recipe) --------------------------------- Imo Furai (Japanese Deep Fried Potatoes) いもフライ Difficulty: Easy Time: 30min Number of servings: 4 servings Ingredients: 450g (1lb.) potatoes * 8 tbsp. flour * 80ml water Panko (bread crumbs) deep frying oil Tonkatsu sauce / Bull-Dog sauce / Worcestershire sauce Directions: 1. Wash potatoes. Cook from water for about 20 minutes until soft. Peel (with skin is okay if the skin is soft) and cut into bite-size chunks. You can thread the potatoes onto skewers if you like. 2. Mix flour and water (adjust the texture until it becomes smooth like yogurt). Dip the potatoes then coat with Panko. 3. Deep fry at 180C (350F) until golden brown.
