Security researcher and white-hat hacker Ian Carroll used the AI tool Claude Opus 4.7 to discover an exploit that gave him full access to Front Gate Tickets' systems, which handles ticketing for nearly every major US music festival including Lollapalooza, South by Southwest, and Austin City Limits. Front Gate is a subsidiary of Live Nation. The exploit was discovered in April and allowed Carroll to generate free tickets to virtually any major US festival.
