Netflix is expanding the 'Gabby's Dollhouse' universe with a new family-friendly competition series that blends baking and crafting. The show, hosted by Laila Lockhart Kraner, will feature young baker-and-maker duos competing in whimsical challenges inspired by the popular animated preschool series, as reported by Variety.
"Four holiday-themed episodes will stream later this year, with additional episodes arriving in 2027."
According to Deadline, the series is produced by DreamWorks Animation and B17 Entertainment, a division of Sony Pictures Television. The competition format taps into the show's signature blend of creativity and play, with contestants tackling both baking and crafting tasks in each episode.
Kraner, who stars as Gabby in the original series, will serve as host, bringing her familiar presence to the competition. The show marks a significant expansion of the 'Gabby's Dollhouse' brand, which has become a hit on Netflix since its debut, as noted by Deadline.
The holiday-themed episodes are set to debut later this year, offering a seasonal twist on the format. With additional episodes planned for 2027, Netflix is clearly investing in the franchise's long-term appeal, building on the show's popularity with young audiences and their families.
