Australian iron ore giant Fortescue has signed an agreement with Belgian maritime company CMB.Tech to charter up to 12 ammonia-capable vessels, advancing the decarbonisation of global shipping. Up to three vessels with dual-fuel ammonia engines are expected by end of 2026, while nine others will be ammonia-ready and convertible in the future.
