The 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards are being announced in stages, with the first batch of nominees revealed on Monday and the remaining categories set for Tuesday. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is rolling out the 53rd annual nominations across daytime dramas, talk series, entertainment news, culinary, and more.
"The countdown to the Emmys continues with the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards. The nominations are announced tomorrow, but we have the privilege of announcing the nominees in two categories today."
In an exclusive Monday reveal, extratv announced the nominees for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host and Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor. The talk host category includes the co-hosts of "The View" (Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro), along with Kelly Clarkson, Tamron Hall, Jennifer Hudson, and Sherri Shepherd. The lead actor nominees feature Eric Braeden and Steve Burton, among others.
Variety reported that early notable nominees include "The Kelly Clarkson Show," which was recognized for both talk series and talk host, and "Sherri," which earned a talk host nomination. The full list of nominations will cover daytime dramas, talk series, entertainment news, and legal and courtroom programming.
