Spike Chunsoft and Gemdrops have delayed the release of Danganronpa 2×2 from 2026 to early 2027, the companies announced. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, according to both Noisy Pixel and Gematsu.
At launch, players will find two distinct story modes: Original mode, a retelling of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair with updated visuals, and a completely new alternate scenario called Slayhem mode. Noisy Pixel reported that Slayhem mode features different victims, culprits, and murder methods, containing roughly 20% more content than the original.
