Conair is recalling approximately 1.7 million Cuisinart grill brushes over safety concerns involving metal wire bristles that can detach during use.According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the bristles can break off the brush and stick to grills or food, creating a risk of serious injury if swallowed. Officials say at least three users have reported ingesting loose bristles. The recalled products were sold for between $8 and $20 from June 2009 through March of this year. They were available at major retailers including Amazon online, as well as Burlington, TJ Maxx, and Ross stores in person.Conair says consumers should immediately stop using the affected brushes and check model numbers listed on the CPSC website to determine whether their product is included in the recall.Officials urge consumers to review the full list of affected items to ensure they are not using a hazardous model.
