Nashville singer-songwriter Brennan Wedl has announced her self-titled debut album, set for release on August 21 via Anti- Records. The album is co-produced by Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield and Brad Cook, according to both Stereogum and Pitchfork.
"The album features contributions from Snail Mail, Colin Croom, and Matt McCaughan."
Pitchfork noted that Snail Mail's Lindsey Jordan is among the backing musicians, alongside Croom and McCaughan. The announcement arrives with a self-directed video for the lead single "Pretty Little Fantasy," as reported by Pitchfork.
Wedl, who was named an Artist To Watch in 2024, has built momentum through tours supporting Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman, Snail Mail, and Soccer Mommy, according to Stereogum. The album follows her earlier work with Dazey and the Scouts (2017's Maggot), a 2019 mini album (Holy Water Branch), and a 2021 EP (Sleeping With Jeans On), as Pitchfork detailed.
