Arc System Works has announced a new DLC character for BlazBlue: Central Fiction, bringing a pivotal narrative figure to the fighting game for the first time. Trinity Glassfille, a recurring character from the series' early story, will become playable on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, according to reports from both gematsu.com and Bleeding Cool. The character's illustration was drawn by series creator Toshimichi Mori, though no release date has been provided yet.
"Trinity is a key character from the early BlazBlue story who will finally become playable."
This marks the first time the character will be directly controllable in a mainline BlazBlue fighting title, a move that has generated excitement among long-time fans of the franchise. Bleeding Cool specifically notes that Trinity Glassfille is known as the "platinum alchemist" and has been a fixture in the series' lore since its narrative beginnings.
"Trinity is described as the 'platinum alchemist' and has been a recurring figure in the series since its early narrative stages."
The addition of Trinity Glassfille expands the already sizable roster of BlazBlue: Central Fiction, which originally launched in 2015 on arcade systems before arriving on PlayStation 4 and PC. With her introduction, players will finally have the chance to play as a character who has long remained a story-only presence, adding fresh strategic options to the game's fast-paced combat.
Arc System Works has not detailed pricing or a specific launch window for the DLC. Given the studio's history of supporting Central Fiction with post-launch content, Trinity Glassfille's arrival is anticipated to come with her own unique moveset and animations, as typical for the series' fighter additions.
