Humanitas has announced the nominees for its 2026 Prizes, with a ceremony scheduled for Sept. 9 at Avalon Hollywood, according to both Variety and Gold Derby. The event honors film and television writers across 10 categories.
Among the top contenders are titles such as 'KPop Demon Hunters', 'Abbott Elementary', and 'Grey's Anatomy', Gold Derby reported. These nominations highlight a range of storytelling from animated series to long-running dramas.
Winnie Holzman, creator of 'My So-Called Life' and writer of 'Wicked', will receive the Kieser Award at the ceremony, Variety reported. Writer and comedian Ashley Nicole Black is set to host the event, according to the same outlet.
Variety also noted that the ceremony will include the announcement of the 2026 New Voices Fellows, College Screenwriting Awards, and the Starz TakeTheLead Award, with Starz returning as the key sponsor.
