Photos: USS Nimitz reaches new homeport in Norfolk
The USS Nimitz (CVN-68) pulled into Pier 14 at Naval Station Norfolk on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The Nimitz, originally homeported on the West Coast in Bremerton, Wash., is set to decommission in 2027 after 50 years of service and now has a new homeport in Norfolk.
