From psych ward to stage: How comedy became Teruko Nakajima's prescribed medicine

Teruko Nakajima, diagnosed with depression, PTSD and suicidal ideation in 2016, was prescribed comedy by her psychiatrist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She took classes at Upright Citizens Brigade, found a calling in comedy, and created a one-woman show called "Made in America"
