Gen Z drives surge in birdwatching and dawn chorus listening, research shows

BBC Radio 3's dawn chorus slot, featuring pure birdsong at 6:30am, has become unexpectedly popular among Gen Z listeners. New research shows over 700,000 people aged 16-29 in Britain have taken up birdwatching as a hobby—a more than 1,000% increase. Presenter Tom McKinney reports
