Today's TV news is a mix of teases and recaps. American Horror Story drops new episode overviews ahead of its September premiere, while It's Always Sunny continues its 18th season with a test-themed episode. Lanterns digs into DC lore with a deep dive on the Manhunters.
Two shows are building anticipation for what's next, one with fresh plot details and the other with a weekly preview.
The first three episode loglines offer more than just a tease. Ben's hospice storyline after a near-death experience suggests a more grounded, character-driven season than the usual AHS spectacle.
The gang getting test results that blow their minds is a classic setup for the show's brand of misguided confidence. Expect Dee, Dennis, and Mac to act on incomplete information in true Sunny fashion.
Lanterns continues to expand its cosmic mythology, and this recap breaks down the threat the Manhunters pose.
This recap goes beyond plot summary by explaining the Manhunters' history and their link to Hal Jordan, which could be setting up a larger arc for the series.
