YouTube unveils Gemini-powered insights tools for creator-led campaigns at Cannes Lions 2026

New Delhi: At Cannes Lions 2026, YouTube introduced a new set of AI-powered tools designed to help brands and agencies improve creator-led campaigns and make better use of insights from the platform. The new offerings are built using Google's Gemini AI models and focus on helping marketers better understand audience behaviour, creator trends, and campaign performance in an increasingly creator-driven advertising landscape. Among the announcements was an upgrade to Google Ads Insights Finder, which will now provide deeper and more detailed trend insights in the US market, giving advertisers a more granular view of what is currently gaining traction on YouTube. YouTube is also integrating select Brand Pulse report metrics directly into Insights Finder. This will allow brands to get a clearer picture of both their paid and organic presence on the platform from a single place. For agencies and media planners, YouTube introduced the new Content & Creator Insights API, which provides richer data on creators and audiences to support campaign planning and creator selection. The company also announced that Gemini will soon provide creative recommendations for Demand Gen campaigns on YouTube. These insights will include suggestions on visuals and creative elements that could help improve campaign performance. The announcements reflect YouTube's growing focus on combining AI with creator marketing as brands increasingly look for better ways to understand trends, audience preferences, and content performance across the platform.
