Wulf Herzogenrath, the influential curator and director of Kunsthalle Bremen for seventeen years, has died. He was a pioneering champion of video and new media art, organizing the first European solo show for Nam June Paik in 1976 at the Kölnischer Kunstverein. He established a video art section at Documenta 6 in 1977 and returned to its curatorial committee in 1987 with an exhibition on new technology in art.
