New York City officially unveiled Jack Kirby Way, a co-naming of Essex Street on the Lower East Side, honoring the legendary comic book creator Jack Kirby at his birthplace. The street also inspired the fictional Yancy Street, home of the Fantastic Four's Ben Grimm (The Thing). The ceremony took place at the corner of DeLancey Street, where Kirby was born and raised.
