"Verified Apps" app for Android pre-release

Read on privacyguides.net

From the article

Obtainium has added direct support for Verified Apps. In the latest release (currently marked as pre-release), I have replaced AppVerifier with “Verified Apps” from Privacy Guides as that seemed like the best option to me. AppVerifier and AppVerifierBG will also be detected and will trigger the share sheet, but the UI and “About” link go to “Verified Apps” Relevant issues: github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium Remove Appverifier integration opened 10:44PM - 30 Mar 26 UTC closed 11:02AM - 08 Jul 26 UTC jermanuts https:/ … /github.com/soupslurpr/AppVerifier/issues/188#issuecomment-2565864587 >The plan is to remove the internal database once Accrescent is open and has more apps. Users can always source the hashes and manually verify. It's easy to share verification info and it can be shared to AppVerifier as well to conveniently verify with others. >Hi. The internal database won't be accepting new entries. It will eventually be removed once Accrescent is stable. This is because maintaining and adding new entries to the database is too difficult. Developers publishing apps on secure app stores like Accrescent is the solution. github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium [Request] Directly Share Hash to AppVerifier opened 02:13AM - 18 Jun 26 UTC closed 11:05AM - 08 Jul 26 UTC lincomax enhancement AppVerifier can verify from hashes shared directly to it so long as the package … name is also included. **See screenshot below taken from AppVerifier after sharing just the hash alone:** ImageContinue reading on discuss.privacyguides.net
