UK-based battery storage asset owner and operator Varco Energy has signed supply contracts for its 100 MW/244 MWh Old Allen Road Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in West Yorkshire. NHOA Energy, in consortium with IQA-Elecnor, will deliver the EPC project. The project adds 100 MW to Varco's portfolio, bringing its operational BESS capacity to 350 MW by end of 2027, with an additional 275 MW in development.
