The United States has resumed regular consular services at its consulates in Lahore and Karachi, restoring access to visa processing and services for American citizens after a temporary disruption. In a statement shared on social media on Wednesday, the US Mission in Pakistan announced that the US Consulate General in Lahore has reopened for US Citizen Services, while the US Consulate General in Karachi has resumed both US Citizen Services and non-immigrant visa processing. “Great news, Pakistan! The U.S. Consulates in Lahore and Karachi are reopening for regular consular services,” the mission said. The US Mission advised applicants seeking visas or consular assistance to visit the official US Embassy website to schedule appointments and for further information on available services. The announcement comes after the temporary suspension of services at the two consulates amid heightened security concerns earlier this year. The resumption of regular operations is expected to facilitate visa applicants and American citizens requiring routine consular assistance in Pakistan.
