Trump now says Spain "has redeemed itself" after accepting an NATO payment request

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again shifted his discourse against Spain and lowered his tone after the threat of commercial sanctions made hours before. The leader has now assured that Spain "has completely redeemed itself" after the Spanish government accepted an "important payment request" to NATO. "Spain has been very generous today. They agreed to an important payment request and, if they hadn't, we wouldn't have even spoken to them," he stated aboard Air Force One during the flight back to Washington after the NATO summit held in Ankara.
