Tina Satter and her Half Straddle theater company are reuniting with Off Broadway's Vineyard Theatre for Petra (styled as PETRA), a stage adaptation of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's play and film The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant. This marks the first collaboration between Satter and Vineyard since the acclaimed 2019 play Is This A Room, which later transferred to Broadway and was adapted into the HBO film Reality starring Sydney Sweeney.
