TikTok Influencer Charged in Murder-for-Hire Plot Against Boy Band Singer Jack Avery

A TikTok influencer, Gabbie Gonzalez (24), has been charged with conspiracy to murder Jack Avery (26), a former member of the boy band Why Don't We, Rolling Stone reported. Prosecutors allege Gonzalez conspired with her father and ex-boyfriend to hire a hitman from the dark web to kill Avery, motivated by a bitter custody dispute over their seven-year-old daughter, according to the report. Stereogum added that Gonzalez, her father Francisco Gonzalez, and surf instructor Kai Cordrey face charges including conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and solicitation to commit murder. Gonzalez was arrested in Northern California and appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom without bond.
