Temperature, wind and humidity: this is how the next few hours will be in Empordà

The meteorological conditions in the area of the Bisbal d'Empordà fire have been very adverse for most of the hours it has been active. This Saturday, the fire is still burning uncontrollably in the Gavarres massif. The wind has been the key factor of this fire, as the tramuntana and marinada have conditioned and continue to condition the evolution of the fire and the extinction tasks. However, the good news is that during the night and early morning it has subsided much more than expected and has been very weak, at times the wind has even calmed down and turned from a westerly component. The gust of wind has been concentrated mainly further north, specifically in Alt Empordà. Furthermore, the night temperature has been able to drop to 19 ºC, and humidity has risen above 50%. A clear improvement in conditions during the night that has been key to helping with the extinction tasks which, according to Bombers, are progressing favorably, although the fire remains out of control.
