Taylor Swift's concert film "The Eras Tour: The Final Show" has received five Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), according to Disney. The nominations come just days after Swift tied the knot to Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, as Rolling Stone reported, marking her first Emmy nods in more than 10 years.
Deadline detailed that the film is nominated in directing, picture editing, sound mixing, and technical direction and camerawork categories, with Glenn Weiss earning a nomination for directing. Billboard noted that Swift herself is nominated as both performer and producer for the special.
The film serves as the companion piece to a six-part docuseries released in December, Deadline added. According to Deadline, Swift's concert special will compete against comedy specials from Nikki Glaser and Dave Chappelle, as well as the newly revived "The Muppets Show" and another special.
Rolling Stone highlighted that these nominations represent Swift's first recognition from the Emmy awards in over a decade, following a February that included both her marriage and this awards milestone.
