Almost every time there was a sex scene, it was the female performer who had to go all out and show her body. A good example of this trend is Game of Thrones , often accused of extreme sexualization of both the main protagonists and the supporting actresses, and even extras. In recent times the trend has reversed and we can say that we have entered the era of naked male torsos. Many of the recent great series hits do not need many excuses to show their protagonists shirtless and with well-defined pecs.
