Sunsure Energy has recently secured ₹262 crore in project financing from FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and Axis Bank for its 75 MWp open-access solar project. In a post, Sunsure said it secured the financing for its latest project in Ilayangudi, Tamil Nadu, marking FMO's first project financing in India's Group Captive Commercial & Industrial (C&I) renewable energy sector alongside Axis Bank. The financing aims to support the continued maturation of India's C&I clean energy market. The financing brings together the strength of global development finance and domestic banking to support the next phase of India's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) energy transition. Commenting on the announcement, Sunsure said, "We deeply value the trust placed in us by FMO and Axis Bank. Their support reflects growing confidence in scalable renewable energy infrastructure, strong governance and disciplined execution—principles that continue to define Sunsure's growth." Supporting RTC Power Supply Earlier, Round-the-Clock (RTC) renewable energy solutions provider Sunsure Energy secured ₹606.22 crore in debt financing across multiple renewable energy projects from Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited and RBL Bank. The earlier financing package included ₹461.76 crore from Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited for solar projects in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Sunsure also secured ₹144.46 crore in refinancing from RBL Bank for its solar project in Augasi, Uttar Pradesh. The company said these financings support solar projects in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, which are key to advancing its UjjwalMaharashtra and UPShakti missions and powering the commercial and industrial (C&I) backbone of both states. The projects also support the company's expansion across industrial regions, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. Previously, Sunsure said it had about 700 MW of renewable energy assets in operation and more than 7 GW under development across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Karnataka. The company aims to reach 10 GW of capacity by 2030.
