Summary

Valve released SteamOS 3.8.11 on June 20th to fix a critical bug where Desktop Mode would get stuck on the lock screen. The issue prevented users from logging in without a physical keyboard, as neither the KDE Plasma on-screen keyboard nor Valve's own on-screen keyboard worked. This patch addresses one of the major annoyances following the larger SteamOS 3.8 update.

SteamOS 3.8.11 has just been released for all users with the following changes
The on-screen KDE Plasma keyboard didn't work, nor did Valve's own on-screen keyboard. Bit of a woops.
With the huge SteamOS 3.8 update now out, a few hiccups were expected - but thankfully, they've already patched one of the major annoyances.
